Our Story
Rooted in history and thoughtfully reimagined, Mt. Pleasant Farms is set on the grounds of the historic Shreve Homestead in Columbus, New Jersey. Long before it became a curated creative destination, the homestead was part of a working agricultural property known as Mt. Pleasant Farm, shaped by generations who lived, worked, and stewarded the land with care. That legacy remains the foundation of the farm today. Guiding how the property is preserved, enhanced, and respectfully shared. Today, Mt. Pleasant Farms is a French country–inspired farmstead, thoughtfully curated as a premier ground-rental destination for photographers and creatives.
The Experience
Mt. Pleasant Farms offers a private farmstead setting for photographers, creatives, and select private clients.
Designed for editorial imagery, brand work, and intimate creative sessions, the property features a considered blend of natural landscapes, refined rustic elements, and curated animal experiences.
The farm may be reserved through individual ground rentals or professional memberships, with in-house photography available for those seeking a fully guided experience.
Individual Ground Rentals
Private access to the grounds is offered through curated experiences, each including exclusive use of the property. Select enhancements may be added to thoughtfully tailor your time on the grounds.
Guests may bring a professional photographer of their choosing or reserve our in-house photographer for a seamless, elevated experience.

Lower Back Pond (only) — No Canoe
Weekday: $125/hr Weekend: $145/hr
A serene stretch of an open field, back trails with neighboring horse views, and the peaceful back pond. The canoe may be added as an upgrade. -
Weekdays: $225 | Weekends: $275
Includes exclusive access to the front and rear paddocks surrounding the farmhouse. You may select either Enzo (horse) or the Highland cattle for your session.
A farm assistant is included for up to 45 minutes to ensure a a seamless experience.

Front Lawn • Gardens • Areas Near the Main House
Weekday: $145/hr Weekend: $165/hr
Classic French-country charm surrounding the main house with curated landscaping, gardens, and tree-lined areas. Includes access to all front grounds extending to the paddock fence line where the animals greet.Exterior access only.
Animal entry is not included in this tier, but is available as an optional enhancement.

Includes exclusive outdoor access to the full property, all animals, select props and tractors, optional decor elements, and dedicated farm assistance throughout your session.

SIGNATURE MINIS — ideal for hosting structured mini session rotations.
Back-to back scheduling is permitted for up to 3 consecutive hours within your reserved time. Additional time beyond 3 hours is subject to an additional hourly charge.
